One thing unites all creatures, whatever their size or intelligence: The desire to survive.
A series of peculiar events begins to escalate behind the locked doors of a remote and outdated research facility. The advanced bio-medical research team refuses to divulge any details of their research to the facilities new interim Director, Nathan Felix. Hampered by his lack of research expertise, Mr. Felix must use his wits and guile to divine the nature and extent of the sinister experiments they are conducting in what he now regards as his facility.
What he discovers, along with the horrific nature of animal research, is the suspicion that some of the animals are changing, evolving. What Nathan does not know, and must find out, is the agent or compound that’s causing these changes before they can spread; and the fact that some of the animals are plotting a brutal form of revenge to those they deem responsible. Nathan Felix is at the top of their hit list.
Set against the sobering backdrop of pharmaceutical research, this novel conjures up a new world order; one in which your dog can read your mind, but prefers not to. It is a tale that reshuffles the deck on interspecies relationships, while describing a series of events that seem perfectly plausible, despite their extraordinary nature.
How will humanity react to a world suddenly populated with incredibly cunning animals? Even more importantly, how will the animals react when they discover that the rules of nature have changed?
